Sample data packages

Elxis 2008 supports the installation of Sample Data Packages. A sample data package is consisted of a number of files that define the final form and features of the website under installation. For example we can choose to install a sample data package suitable for news or turism business website. The package we choose to use will define the template that will be loaded, the modules positions, the activation or not, of extra modules or bots, as well as the very content and its layout.

All the choices we make during the installation can afterwards be altered from the Elxis administration. However, the choice of the most suitable Sample Data Package saves us precious time, as the final result is closer to what we had in mind. The Elxis installer provides you with a preview of the final generated website for every Sample Data Package, and this makes your choice easier.
